Moto G6 Plus we might see some major design changes which improve grip, screen to body ratio and appearance. The G6 Plus probably be unveiled with 5.5 inch IPS LCD Display with 1080p or FullHD resolution just like its predecessor. But Motorola might refine the brightness and contrast of the display panel to decrease the black point.
The G5 Plus and G5S Plus mid-rangers are powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and provide fluid like user experience without any lags in day-to-day activities. The next mid-range flagship from Motorola might be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC which is an upper mid-range tier chipset. The Snapdragon 630 mobile platform offers very good single core and multi-core performance.
The Snapdragon 630 is an Octa-Core chipset, which is clocked at 2.2 Ghz and can even compete with high-end chipsets in performance. Due to SD630, Moto G6 Plus will offer 30% more performance than its predecessor, according to analysts. The latest upper mid-range flagship from Motorola, Moto X4 also powered by SD630 SoC.
The Snapdragon 630 chipset which will power the G6 Plus contains exclusive AI processing support and neural networks support. The Hexagon 642 DSP of SD630 sports Qualcomm All-Ways Aware Technology, Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK, Caffe/Caffe2 and Tensorflow support.

The Moto G5S Plus sports Dual 13MP sensors with and f/2.0 aperture on the rear side and 8MP single sensor with f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens on the front side. So with dual Camera setup on the rear side, G5S Plus is able to produce a decent Bokeh effect (blurring of background) and capture gorgeous shots. The users can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps. But some times, the pictures captured in low-light are filled with noice, according to the users.
So Motorola may develop a better camera for G6 Plus with many improvements. Moto G6 Plus most likely to arrive with 12MP or 13MP Dual sensor setup on the rear side with dual LED flash. Motorola may add super-slow motion video capture support to G6 Plus to shoot videos at high frame rate and high resolution. The Camera software should also be improved to provide good focus quickly. Motorola used 3000 mAh battery in Moto G5 Plus, G5S Plus and Moto X4 mid-rangers. In the successor of Moto G5 Plus, Motorola may use bigger battery because of the power hungry chipset.
According to tech analysts, the next mid-range flagship from Motorola might be powered by 3300 or 3500 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The Battery of Moto G6 Plus will be compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology and charges faster compared to its predecessor. More details about the G6 Plus Battery life will be revealed in coming days.
In the US, Moto G5S Plus with 4GB Ram is currently priced at $300 while the 3GB Ram variant priced at $230. Obviously, the successor of G5S Plus will come with a higher price tag.
